We go to CA, all the time. I was bummed Dhillions was a bust. I love Indian food and the place was quasi-clean, 2 years ago. I haven't stopped there because it was pretty nasty, last we stopped. We never stop, anymore. I would stop, if I ever hear they clean up the place.

Russell's was great on our first stop. Our last stop we took a dirty table. Waited 30 minutes to get it clean, then 30 minutes to order. The food was not good and finished us on Russells.

Sky City is the bomb for Green Chile stew. In the C-Store. The employees get it, so don't expect much. Don't bother with the buffet, in the casino.

We stop at Rte 66. The old ladies run me over for crab. They have really good green chile stew. After 3 trips, I would opt for the green chile stew, rice and some bread, then some meat. That's my $20 for the buffet.

After 2+ years, you are right about Dhillions. I have to go to OKC, FL or CO for Indian food.

Russells thats the place. A regular stopping spot.
We tried the restaurant slow service, food needed flavor. (bland) Had to wait for a clean table.
It is kept up and great route 66 trinkets!
I have never had a problem at Sky City. Food and service was good. That is my fav stopping place.
Great drawings but you have to be there is your ticket is called. Good luck with that, timing is everything.

I finally tried Big Sky and wasnt impressed at all. Only 2 meats on the selection, chicken and "prime rib" Chicken was so-so but prime rib was cut very thing and was all dried out, even after they brought out a fresh batch.

Service was much batter than Route 66 though. My drink always goes empty at 66 but never did at BS. Sever was very friendly.

Just wasnt much selection for $13. Food was ok but I think that I will stick with Route 66.

exit 369 Endee,NM just before the TX line,
The best truck stop anywhere in the southwest.

I parked there recently as a last resort thanks to delays in Dallas and running out of hours. Didn't eat as it was too late for the buffet. Just bought some interesting Indian snacks to take home to the kids.

As for the bathrooms.....yeah...reminded me of the PEMEX stations we'd stop at in Mexico when I travelled with my dad. At least Dhillons didn't charge a fee to use them like the PEMEX stations did so I will give them that much. lol.
