    I heard this through the grapevine...

    You can only take those screws off an iPhone until Apple gets their hands on it. Then they change the screws for a different head with a weird pattern on them. So watch it if you let an Apple tech do anything.

    Those are Torx screws, I believe. Anybody know the #? I used to work in a hardware store and I don't think we even carried a driver or bit that small.

    Do a YouTube search for iPhone disassembly. They show step by step instructions.

    I believe they are #0 Phillips head screws.

    Some have #0 torx head

    Actually, upon further review...it's neither. It's a 5 point. That's not a Torx. I dunno whatcha call it! Star?
