Not sure if this is the right thread to post this. I'm new to this forum and I've got a question about getting a cdl. I got a DUI 2 years ago in ks that was diferred and now dissmissed. For some reason I still have an interlock ignition device restriction in the state of ks. It allows me to drive any company vehicle. I live in Oklahoma and have never had a ks license but when my driving record is checked through oklahoma it shows nothing at all. The ks one only shows my ks license is restricted? I have not been able to find anywhere if I could obtain a cdl through Oklahoma or not? Does anyone know whether I can or not? Thanks in advance.

You better check on that. Most companies require 5-7 years from a DUI and being required to have an ignition interlock isn't going to bode well for you. Talk to companies first before you decide to go to school. All you'll have is a CDL with nowhere to use it at.

You say you have never had a Kansas license, only Oklahoma, but your Kansas license is restricted. Something is not adding up.

I no. That's what I don't understand? It only shows if u run my name through Kansas. And I've talked to a couple companys and they said the DUI won't affect me getting hired because I was never convicted of it just diferred judgement then it was dismissed by the court. I'm afraid I'm going to have to get an attorney to figure things out?
