Your volvo lights from factory are set low,, it's a simple thing to adjust them up so that your not out-running your head lights and alot safer.
The light fixture can be adjusted by the driver to resolve---if taken back to the factory will get original unsatisfactory performance! With tractor hood open and lights 'on,' there is an access hole at the rear of the headlight assemblies that will adjust vertical positioning. The adjustment is a threaded shaft with a hex bit at the end. A 3/16" socket is required to make this adjustment. CW (clockwise) adjustment will raise the light positioning. I have found from doing this (about 10+ times) that you will need to make about 10--½ turns (5 turns total) to get satisfactory performance. I say ½ turns, because unless the driver has an extension for the socket, space is restricted. I use a 'screwdriver handle' with a socket universal to connect to the socket.

The headlamps actually work pretty well, even yellowed a bit, if they're adjusted properly.

Cant go wrong with hids i drove one trip with stocks and used high beams most of my trip.. then got these -
My new 780 was the same, lights pointed right in front of the truck. Found the adjusters and they are indeed Torx sockets, bought the right one at Princess auto ( tool supply house like harbor freight I guess) and adjusted them a couple times. I find the headlights awesome now.
