Very informative thread, thanks guys!

I was wondering tho...I have my CDL with a few yrs exp, but no exp in the last 3 yrs. From what I understand, I will have to go through the refresher course. Will I need tuition money upfront? I know I can't get any financial assistance/loan cause my credit is gawd awful. How does this work with Central?

 

Swamp Central will front the money and then they take weekly deductions out of your paycheck.

 

possibly me, ive been sitting waiting on my trainer to get here since wed, she was supposed to be here yesterday and now it may be friday. however they are considering flying me out to meet her.

I'll be at SLC tomorrow to start Monday. I met a few guys already that will be in my class which is kinda nice. I'm on a shuttle bus to Ontario to transfer to a greyhound to go on into SLC. Coming from Bend, Oregon.

Yesterday was a hurry up n wait day with nothing eventful going on as it was Sunday. We did get our jail cells though. They ain't kidding. 1 bunk bed, 1 chair, 1 window, 1 light bulb and 1 outlet.

Think of it this way outcast; it's bigger than the sleeper you'll be sharing with your trainer for a month.

 

Sadly I had to leave today, family death and wife is pretty upset so I gotta comfort her. Leaving today won't cost me like it would have had I left later on.

nothing up front bud! If ur app is approved by Central then the refresher is paid $25 a week til paid 10 months later. No credit check, down payment. Im in the same situation as you with a license but no experience in the past 2 years. Im suppose to start there on Oct 15th how about you?
