I am a fairly new driver with one year of experience. I was recently terminated from a company for having 3 incidents. 2 in march and the last one last month. They all were quick fixes in the shop and none involved DOT or police. i was perfect with the company(100% ontime delivery, never turned down any loads, etc.) other than these misfortunate incidents. Now I am on the job search but most companies turn me down due to the incidents. I want to stay in trucking so what can I do to get back into driving. These incidents are on my DAC report even though the company told me it wouldnt, being that they were "in-house" incidents. Please if any input can be given, help a fellow driver out. Thanks.
Question for any driver who can help!!!

Find an owner operator to drive for.
-
Explain your incidents.
-
did you get it in writing they would NOT put it on your DAC.
Unfortunately, even for an O/O, their insurance will look at your DAC as well. -
Unfortunately no, I was told this by my DM. But its not suprising finding lies. I take the blame and have to suck it up. -
I would suggest you go back and talk with your DM then.

Thanks, thought I had a job, but the company he leased with wanted 2 yrs exp. -
What kind of incidents? Some companies will look past it but have you on probation. What were they? Don't be embarresed. You're new stuff happens we've all been there.
-
Are they preventables or non?

You might have to get a non-driving job for a couple of years so those Bobo's fall away. If that is the case try to find a job around trucks, i.e. wrenching, washing, anything you can do to continue to learn about the industry. Good luck!
