Hi everyone. I am an O/O and have been driving endlessly the last 5 years. I am considering calling it quits and selling my truck. It is paid off but I just dont see myself doing this much longer. I am trying to find out a realistic price i might be able to sell my rig for. Im not trying to rip anyone off and know i wont get rich here. Just a fair, and hopefully decent amount to cash out on and move on. Here are the details:

    2007 Freightliner Century
    Detroit Series 60 w/approx 550 hp
    13 speed transmission
all the extras including the lower air bags feature, locking axle
    newer seats
engine rebuilt at approx 840,000 miles. Currently truck is at a total of 1,161,000 miles

Currently, the truck is in good running shape. No mechanical problems or issues under the hood. This truck has been through it all and has stood the test of time and continues to run well. Maintenance has been kept well over the years. Really, the only things wrong with it are cosmetic issues at this time. Normal wear and tear in the inside/outside of the truck. A few cracks and scratches on the outside panels but otherwise it is in great working order. Thoughts anyone? What is a reasonable asking price? Thanks for all the help here.

I just paid $30K for my century and it's only got 707K miles on it. Similar specs to yours.

have you done pricing on www.truckpaper.com for similar.?

Are you the original owner and the only driver ? If so, that's a good selling point. I'm thinking about 20K. Trucks with over a mil on the odometer scare me. Good luck.

I figured it was worth between 20 and 30K. And I did get it slightly used with 150k miles on it. But it really was in perfect shape when i got it. I have all the documentation of all the repairs done over the years and it really has been kept up well. Understandable that being past the million mark could be scary for some but other than cosmetic wear and tear, she runs great. I still maintain about 7.5 mpg and she runs smooth. Still not sure what to do quite yet but it is definitely being considered to sell it off and just go a different direction.

If it's paid off, why are you considering selling it?

Getting burned out? Then I can see that. Maybe change the operation to go do something else.

These crack's and scratches that you speak of could really drive the price down. And what is normal wear and tear on the interior? The interior in my 05 is still in excellent condition. What does it have for tires, and how much tread depth? What about brake shoes? How long has it been since the drums were replaced? What about the transmission and differentials? Anything ever been done to them? There is alot that can play into the price of a used truck. Body work is very costly, no one wants to buy a truck that looks like its been to hell and back.
