My concern here is you made the same mistake 3 times. I'm not judging- my DAC isn't spotless and I made mistakes my first couple years. But someone looking at this is bound to wonder if you learned anything from it.
So just as a thought, maybe see if you can get another week or two of training at your local driving school? If you can in some way prove to a prospective employer that you are trying to learn and want to be better, I would think this would give you a better chance.
Question for any driver who can help!!!

Going to driving school to relearn backing and driving on a flat surface will not help. Schools only show you about three ways to back up just to get past the DMV test. Schools don't teach freelance backing skills that you may need in the real world. All drivers will have an incident at some point in their career, a bigger company might not tolerate three incidents. Try some smaller companies, be up front about the mishaps, and if hired move forward. Next time try to become one with the truck, like its part of your body, top, bottom, sides, how you bend in the middle and so on. Get with some drivers and talk about things that they have Seen over the years. You might be surprised. GOOD LUCK NEXT TIME OUT.

The first thing that when on my DAC report was a little incident also. I totaled a truck and trailer. But it was EMPTY so no harm, right? I was fired. I am not eligible for rehire. Great Company but one little mistake.
The company did not report the fire hydrant I ran over, the trees and stop signs I ran over, the time I blew a tire by smacking it against a railing while turning. I was hell on wheels for the first year or so. Then I figured it out.
You need to get to work as fast as you can. The mega companies are out for awhile. Go the small company route. As you were advised earlier, explain what happened. How many trailers have you hauled that have no damage on them at all? Those scratches come from someplace.
I personally, have never scratched a trailer. If it is there it happened before I touched it. I only total things.
And since I started trucking. 8 years ago, I have been unemployed (with exception of waiting for my blood sugar to come down) for exactly 3 weeks. Too many jobs, not enough help.formertaxidriver Thanks this. -
Did you learn something ?? Like maybe it's better to get out and look. Here this guy was pulling off the fuel island, you should have made him wait. I know you don't want to make somebody wait, but where is that guy now ? He's not going to help you find another job. Remember that when you have other truckers or 4-wheelers waiting for you. You do what is safe, and you take as much time as you need to be safe. Not one of those people is going to do a thing for you if you hit something, so you don't rush without checking to make them happy.
That being said, you just need to be filling out applications. The most important thing is fill them out accurately. Fill out a thousand of them if you have too. When companies add new accounts and things they go on hiring sprees and they'll often relax their standards. Get that application out there, you'll get another chance eventually. -
Enroll in Dotjob.com. You can get a copy of your Dac and PSP report. On their site there is an easy link to dispute the DAC data and the company has 15 days to respond to Hire Rite or the incident is removed. If not removed u can put a rebutal or explanation on your report. I would also give the guy who told me they would not be on my DAC a visit and calmly ask why he told u one thing and did another. Remind him of his promise he may not know the company reported it. If they dont want to play then explain on sites like this what happened and what the company did. I will tell u that depending on what u did some companies wont keep u that long after that many incidences

I had to take a backing class which all i did was kept doing set ups and backing into a parking spot, which had nothing to do with any of the incidents. Which was easy being i was a yard jockey for 5 years. -
Thanks for all the help guys. Im not a perfect driver and compared to my friends, i jus had bad luck at the wrong time. The funny thing is all these accidents were on dedicated accounts. After the first two they sent me back OTR then i got on another account and the last one happened. I had no problems OTR but as soon as i got on a dedicated account my bad luck hits me.

I always got out and looked, with the concrete slab, the driver was pulled forward and inside paying. it was dark and little to no lighting which shouldnt be an excuse but i didnt see it. So coming off the scale and pulling into the road back into the lot onto the scale is like doing 2 u-turns almost so when i had to do the second u-turn i pulled wide but that truck was right there so i had to turn sharper.
