Ivan,it is a very nice showtruck.
But as a working truck it is useless.
Just to heavy.
I'm shure it scales at over 11000kg=24250lbs.(most likely it will be even heavier)
Why do i think this?
I have a friend with the nearly the same truck, only difference is that my friends Scania is a regular Topline(so a shorter cab then the Longline shown above)
He recently scaled his with 500liters(185 gallon) off diesel.
Was 10500kg.

hi as much i remember truck and trailer were 16200kg i dont remember good what he told me
basic model of such trailer is 6200/6600 so truck can be max 10t
but having such heavy truck in this transport segment is not profitable
here at food tank transport order papers are 27t most common trailer is seka tank on cardi chassis or sometimes on menci , serbians buy seka tank on berger
such trailer is in average configuration 5800kg so tractor can be max 7200
but one more thing is even less profitable about it, he spend almost year for building it that is lot of downtime
but there is one thing about it.....many people close chassis completely i would not do that on scania since it is sensitive on rust especially NL made (which is here most common) , with completely closed it is hard to wash truck -
What an ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS WORK OF ART!
I don't care how heavy this truck is! I'm pretty sure there are some trucks here in the US that are just as heavy or maybe even heavier then this and still they manage very well finding specialized work that allows for this high tare weight.
I would't mind at all having this truck here in the US!
God!.......it's gorgeous! -
there is one thing about it , it is custom build by cutting original cab and extending it this must result with rust problems one day , frame was originally that long , i would rather pay to laxa and get truck ex factory ready to work , also here side panels of cab are flat there is no shapes of cab ....
here is original video of longline/exc i had it in better quality on my old pc but it is lost .....

Yes, I like the space management and distribution much better in the longline from your video. I like thw wraparound the top "kitchen cabinets" but I'd still would like to cover up that flat grey surface with the tipe of upholstery from the other one.....maybe not in white but same kind texture. Also, instead of the sink I'd like to have an enclosed shower.
Oh well, the interior can be further customized to no end. The important part is to have the truck with that big cab.
PS: Even though I don't particularly care much for the interiour design in Roland's longline, I asure you that it's still muck better then what you'll find in 99% of the US customized sleepers of the same size.
One more thing: 99.999% of customized and streached out trucks in the US are a chop job also! They are chopped parts put together into a pile. Nothing but choppers!Last edited: Sep 21, 2012

Noh!
That'll get you in too much trouble!
LOLScania man Thanks this. -
really trucks like this scania are usually ordered ore built by owners who drive.
Scania man Thanks this. -
Here in the US all you need is a title with a VIN # under nameplate Scania and the rest you can put together whatever you want.
I wonder if I could find and buy one of those old Scania trucks sold here in the 80's, use the US registered title for commercial vehicle, then import the parts for a longline in different shipments directly from Sweden: Frame with long wheelbase, a Laxa built Longline cab complete ready to install on the frame, same for the rest of the parts, and put the together in my shop. Take the data plate from the old Scania and install it in the "rebuild with new parts", tranfer the tags from my old truck to the Scania VIN#. and go to driving it.
I've seen a guy that was driving a "Pete-Worth-Shaking" COE build with parts from just about every make and brand-name he found in a junkyard. I think that it was oficially under nameplate Freightliner, but had an International COE cab on Freightliner cut&stretched frame, with the second half and the drive axles from a Peterbilt, with an added as a drone box a sleeper from a KW conventional.................well, it caused allot of rubbernecking from anyone that got caught to be takin a look at it.
Well, I don't know, it might just be a posibility to be the guy that drives the only Scania Longline in the USA! Who knows?
