I see their trucks all the time in FL and have never seen a complaint on here. I also know they run the smaller condo Freightliner Cascadias for solos and have 11 Volvo VNL670's. If you go to their facebook page, they can tell you more.

I've talked to three of their drivers and all of them loved the company... strict on safety but good company and they all said they got plenty of miles and home on weekends!!!

They're based in Claremont NC. They are a smallish company; I worked for them for a while--since I live in Hickory NC I got home weekends and usually once during the week. My dispatcher was a great guy and they didn't leave me hanging around waiting for a load. I always got paid on time. They have a great benefits package and they had pay over and above what they advertised--a good surprise at orientation (at the time...'round 2-3 years ago). Most of their trucks at the time were automatics; Century's or Prostar's. Only fly in the ointment was when I got Type 2 Diabetes and they kicked me to the curb in a rather merciless fashion. From what I understand the HR lady and the "Retention" guy who screwed me over are no longer with the company. My neighbor tried to get me to come back but I've got a pretty good thing going at Dart right now so no dice. They did a pretty thorough job of checking me out before they offered me a job. As I recall orientation was 2 or 3 days then on the road. I would pick up a load of paper in Statesville NC, schlep it up to Richmond VA, DH to Mooresville NC to pick up a load of cans or bottles, run that up to Rochester NY area (Budweiser plant), grab an empty and head to Buffalo NY to get flour and bring it back to Winston-Salem (Krispy Kreme), then scram back to the yard and go home to get laid. I don't think they do much of the closed loop thing anymore; I've seen their trucks way out west. Bear in mind that my info is 2-3 years out of date so have a chat with one of their recruiters about equipment and current running areas.
    Good luck!

Thanks, I'll call them on Monday and get the heads up. If I can run all week and be home with good miles, then I'm there. I'll post what I find out.

Ive been working there for almost 2 years now. As others have posted, decent miles, home every weekend and fairly common to be home a night or two during the week as well. All the OTR trucks are automatics, mostly Cascadias, a few Volvos, Prostars, and a few FL Centuries still around. They also give drivers holiday pay for 7 holidays a year as well as two bonuses each year that are $.02 for book miles for the previous 6 months, one on the 2nd Friday of June and the other on the 2nd Friday of December in addition to the safety bonus (.01 for the book miles of that year). Short trip pay for loads that are under 100 miles, layover pay of $50 if you have to sit some where for 12 hours, detention pay starting at 2 hours after appointment time, driver assist pay for the rare loads that require your help to unload them, and multi stop pay for loads with more than 1 stop ($20 per additional stop).

I have had 3,000+ mile weeks where every single load was a drop and hook as well, we drop/hook at a lot of places through out the country despite being a some what "small" company.

Strict on safety, they are also putting Drivecam cameras in all of the tractors as well.

If you have any questions that you are interested about before Monday feel free to send me a message.

That all sounds good but not sure about the drivecam thing in the cab. Can you give me a heads up on what that is exactly? In this day and age of big brother watching us, I think that may be a bit too much. Do you live close to the terminal? Home weekends and maybe once throughout the week sounds good. Are you more regionalized or OTR? Thanks for the help
