Yep. You'll get close enough to Canada to see the trees from Maine.

Just because we run to the northeast, doesn't mean you'll spend a lot of time there. Yup we get dispatched up there, everyone gets their time up that way, and freight needs to be moved. The NE regional guys get that extra 5cpm to make up for the preponderance of shorter runs.

Has anyone worked for Prime for more than 10 years? if so, I have a question for you. Do you remember the driver Keith Corter who died from a heart attack on September 23 2002.

Ive ben looking in the lil pamphlet thing that my recruiter gave me and i saw something called "ACE orientation". What is that? I have also heard that there is another skills test at that point. Is this true?

This is a question for my home state neighbors Sazook or Easy Steamer or anyone else from va. who is a driver or soon to be a driver for prime. I have my cdl-a and will be surrendering it to dmv for to take my cdl permit test to go to prime once i have been approved to go to training. Will i be required to get a medical card before i take the test at dmv? If so, i will take my chances and take the test at prime and get my medical card there. Sazook, i know that you no longer work for prime. I know, call dmv, but i want to here from you guys, but if you don't know, i will call dmv.

Does Prime really require you to surrender your Class A? I can understand having you go through all the training, but dropping your CDL just to get it again sure seems like an exercise in wasted money.

For me, that's the situation i am in because my last driving job gave me 3 months because of health problems i had when i came in. They were concerned about a health problem that i had to get checked out and solved before the 3 months were up, but unfortunately i could not get it done. So i had to quit. It's been 4 yrs since i had a trucking job, that's why i have to start over again with prime if they give me a shot. Some drivers that come in from an outside trucking school do not have to give up there cdl-a, they can just come in do training with trainer past the road test and get their own truck. You have to come in with your cdl-a with recent over the road experience not to go thru what i am going thru. It still sucks big time that i have to go thru it, but that is the rules at prime.
