Gordon is getting rid of the Columbias slowly and sticking with Cascadias. All will have APUs. I don't know about their heavy haul. I didn't even know they had a fleet until I read this thread.

Their trucks are nice, I've been in a few of them.

They've been getting rid of them since 09 really...Cascadias have had their share of issues so it's been a slow process...Since they own 2 Freightliner dealerships, they pretty much outfit the trucks with what they want...They are pretty nice inside though I guess. :biggrin_2554:

Actually, while they do own 2 dealerships, whoever outfits heavy trucks is a moronic desk jockey. These are 105,000 lbs trucks with 10 spds, with the same HP rating as the standards. They have smaller cabs too. The new ones they bought are mid roof, with only under bunk storage. You get no extra pay for heavy loads, no short haul pay scale (most loads are under 350 miles).

I've been asking myself why do I want to have a lower average speed (hills) on a 105k truck when I can drive an 80k truck and make more miles and have an APU? I don't recommend HH till GTI pulls it's head out of it's rearend and pays the drivers what they are worth. Just a poorly set up fleet.:biggrin_2552:

What is Gordon's current CPM rate for the regular OTR fleets?

I don't mean to high jack the thread, but I have a question about GTIs training. When you go out with a trainer is it like team driving, or do you stop for 10s?
