remember this for your next swap. you, "how are your tarps",
    him, "good" or "dunno".
you, "good because you're keeping them or since were on the yard, you can go swap them out".
him, "HUH?...i thought we just got next to each other and swapped?" you, "you thought wrong." if you think your tarps are 'good', keep em if not exchange them, i'm doing you a favor sir."
meanwhile while he is stewing over having to exchange the tarps in his boxes or rolling them out to resolve his, "dunno", open up the top boxes and take out all the waterlogged cardboard edge protectors, wooden blocks, excess equipment, & other miscellaneous trash and tell him he can take it with him as well.

    We're flatbedders not garbage men.....

    or

swap with sewerman........he loves patching, "dunno" and/or "good" tarps

    Evil_E Thanks this.

yes when I turned in my side kit got issued a new trailer. I got to practice my tarps patching abilities once again. Two hours one can of glue and I was good to go. My steel tarps look like Raggedy Ann with all of patches but they are watertight.

It is just part of my job to get bald tires changed on trailers, fixed the lights that are not working and to get all the garbage out of the side boxes. Because the driver that had the trailer before me his time is too valuable to get anything fixed or two reported it when he dropped the trailer. My time must not be that valuable I have the time to get the trailer repaired tarps patched so the next driver don't have to do all the work. Or maybe I just take more pride in my job.

I just want to thank all the maverick drivers. That do their job correctly and fix and report problems on their trailers. And to the ones that don't. May a Thousand sand fleas infest your crotch.

I am done with my rant.

Lol. I love the last paragraph. BTW, I'm at the T/A getting lights fixed before they decide to have me swap or drop this trailer. To top it off, it's 5 miles from my house and I've been waiting two hours.......joy

This discussion is yet another reason why mavericks past strict hiring guidelines has paid off for them. I can only imagine what it's like at werner, or any other company that will hire anyone despite their lack of self respect and morals. For the most part, you find good people/drivers at maverick. People with morals, respect for others, as well as respect for themselves. Exactly why pilot fuel stations are horrible for the most part.

sewerman, Evil_E and sarge26044 Thank this.

I feel your pain. You know it's bad when you're on a first name basis with the boys up at the TA. At least you don't have to worry about the sand fleas. You are safe from my curse.

Hope you have a great weekend, drive safe and enjoy the ride.
