MARSHALL WISE I AM GOING TO TELL YOU THAT WORKING FOR TROJAN HAS IT PROS AND CONS FOR SURE BUT WHEN IT COMES TO OUR BENEFIT MONEY I HAVE BEEN HERE 6 MONTHS AND I STILL HAVE NO MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT SOME OF THE GUYS HAVE HAD NO MONEY PUT IN SINCE LAST SEPTEMBER 2011. AND AS FAR AS PAYCHECKS ARE CONCERNED WE DON'T GET THEM ON TIME. I TRIED TO CASH MINE ONE TIME AT WALMART WHO CASHES MANY COMPLANY PAY CHECKS AND MINE GOT DENIED. SO YOU CAN BRAG ABOUT WHAT A GREAT COMPANY THIS IS BUT WHEN THEY CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO PUT OUR MONEY IN OUR 401K EVERY TIME WE ARE PAID THEY ARE SCREWING THE DRIVER AND SINCE WE HAVENT HAD MONEY PUT IN, IN THE LAST 9 MONTHS WHERE IS ALL OUR INTEREST? I AM A CURRENT DRIVER FOR THIS COMPANY AND LIKE I SAID PROS AND CONS OF WORKING HERE BUT THE COMPANY DOES NOT GIVE TWO ##### ABOUT THEIR DRIVERS FOR IF THEY DID THEY WOULD NOT KEEP OUR BENEFIT MONEY LIKE THEY DO AND THEY WOULD PAY IT TO US LIKE THE REST OF THE CONTRACTORS DO AND I KNOW THEY DO I KNOW MANY PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR OTHER CONTRACTORS WHO RECEIVE THEIR MONEY IN THEIR PAYCHECKS. SO WHAT IS TROJAN'S EXCUSE FOR KEEPING OUR MONEY AND INTEREST DUE US? THIS IS TOTALLY WRONG WHAT THEY ARE DOING. BUT I AM SURE YOU WILL FIGURE A WAY TO JUSTIFY IT AS YOU HAVE WITH OTHER COMMENTS FROM OTHER DRIVERS. BUT THIS IS THE TRUTH AND I STILL WORK HERE AND I AGREE NOT EVEYONE CAN HANDLE HAULING MAIL WITH OUR SCHEDULES WE KEEP. BUT TROJAN SHOULD APPRECIATE THEIR DRIVERS AND STOP THE ######## WITH THE BENEFIT MONEY AND THEY WOULD BE A GOOD COMPANY TO WORK FOR.

Wow! It says "New Bedford Mass," I am guessing one of the guys who quit or got fired up there. Here, I'll tell you my name: Marshall Wise. I am the supervisor in Willow Hill, PA for Trojan Horse. I have worked here since Jan 1, 2006, when Brian Hicks bought the company. I worked here from 1995 to 1999 when the company was called M.W. Gunther. Brian came on as my relief driver then, before I moved out west, so I think I know of what I speak. Nasty and untrue posts like yours are counter-productive! Since I've been meaning to answer the posts on this thread for a couple years, I guess I will today.

Yep, the Health and welfare goes into a 401k! Sorry, ALL contractors are going to this. You can thank Mark Matheson at Matheson Postal for that... if they just gave it to you as cash, A: the companies have to pay huge taxes on it as "payroll" and B: you would never save the money for your retirement, thus being a drain in the rest of us taxpayers. I know I wouldn't and now I have a goodly amount of money in there. Yay! Times have changed and you need to learn that. Again, ALL the postal contractors are going to this kind of system.

WHO told you to do that? Not hardly partner. My drivers don't. If it's snowing and you can't make it back, we have sleepers w/ APU's on the truck. Again, WHO told you this? WHO was your manager?

Are you for real? Contracts change all the time. All the P.O. has to do now is give them 60 days notice. So, you're mad that the P.O. changed the contract or it was changed in some way... what world are you living in? I am sorry to sound harsh, but man, I have worked for 10 postal contractors (both sides of the country) in my life and this one is right up there at the top.
As to saying that all the owner cares about is paying his child support? Are you crazy? I know him, like KNOW HIM PERSONALLY and I know that he doesn't think that way.
Junk trucks? You have to clean your own truck. My trucks are maintained constantly and the drivers keep them up, FOR WHICH THEY ARE PAID. I don't know where you get off calling the trucks "junk" I HAVE seen some like that, they tend to come from drivers who are PIGS and my drivers end up having to clean up the pig's messes.
It's a business and it's a tough business. Only 1 in 10 drivers will make it as a Mail Hauler. 1 in 10! People like yourself, who think this will be some "union" job or that the company will change for you will not make it. Hauling Mail is not like hauling freight. You have to be on time, you don't get to stop at the Cracker Barrel for lunch or not run if it's snowing. That saying "Through rain, through sleet, through dark of night" is NOT a marketing gimmick. We work 24/7 to haul the Mail. Many, MANY people cannot do this. It takes attention to detail.
I am sure I'll answer more here, as there were a number of posts. Have questions? Feel free to ask them of me. I have hauled Mail for a long time and will admit I don't know everything, but I do know a lot on this subject.

I am sorry, should they throw away hundreds of thousands of dollars on taxes to the government or give you something you can use? Most companies (that I will not name) put it in a BAD 401k or make you take bad health benefits. It is what it is. Stop w/ the sour grapes. Man, it's a BUSINESS, if they can't make a profit then they won't stay in business and Mail Hauling is a tight industry. Where are you working now? I bet you're not making that much money! -

Ok marshall here is my name they have junk trucks they cant keep drivers in Fremont they are slowwwwwwwww in putting your money in the 401 they dont give a rats arse about there drivers what more needs to be said

o by the way yes they do fix the logs they did it to mine and at least two other drivers you want to try and explain how i had a fresh 70 when i left indiana to go to jersey and after one night there i had a fresh 70 again. And i personally know a driver who drove out to jersey took to long to get there and my hicks himself told the manager in fremont to send him back he was fired but wait he had fresh hrs to get back and hicks had the manager pay him under the table. So say what you will but it is what it is. And o now i hear his dad is running jersey wow i believe his dad is a felon for things he did while hauling mail and now hes back in the same business. you talk about 401 i know of a carrier how does not put 401 in like you said they have to . so you can keep on hicks coat tail all you want. and if he was such a good guy to work for why did fremont have to have a three hiring event to get drivers hmmm gould it be he has junk trucks.

I will say it right now -- you guys out there in Fremont trash EVERY truck you get. I've had some of mine in Kearny for service that you guys have "taken" w/ out asking and they come back all hogged out. EVERY time you use them. I don't give a tinker's #### what you people there do. As far as I can see, it's SUB-STANDARD drivers there. My trucks aren't like that and my drivers aren't like that. I get it all fixed and my drivers take care of stuff. I know, you don't wanna hear that or believe it. Truth.
Define "they" because, chunderhead, I DO take care of my drivers. I have the BEST ones in the fleet -- they do their job and do it well. -
P.S. I have NEVER said things were perfect. I said this company is better than most. What started ME commenting here were people posting out right falsehoods and mis-truths. I have been doing this a long time (27 years) so I ###### well think I know what I speak of. -
Wow sounds like Mr Marshall has his panties in a bunch.............I have one for ya there Mr Marshall.................Where is the piece of #### forklift that broke my right leg in 15 diffrent places so I can sue the #### out of Trojan Horse! ! ! !................Thats right it came up missing! ! ! ! At the hands of Mr Gunther and Mr Hicks! Trojan Horse could give 2 good ##### about its employees. 15 Broken Bones, 5 Surgeries, 1 Amputation Scare, and countless amounts of rehab...........and all i got was a Coffee Mug full of Tootsi Rolls with a get well balloon! Your half assed equipment ruined my career, and marrage. But some dont know that Mr Hicks paid his sister to cook her books to add me to her payroll when i got hurt so Capital Expressways could cover me on thier Worker Comp! ! ! Didnt know that did you Mr Marshall! ! ! And you know my name! ! !

Ya know, here's the thing, I'm not here to answer for things that happened, especially things that happened years ago that I wasn't around. I started posting here to answer some untruths and lies. No more. I'm not an apologist, and I am not the one in charge. And really, sorry for your problems, but how is it MY fault? Why didn't you do something then?
