IF the computer is set for 435 hp and it's really capable of 500+, it's castrated. Turn that sucker back up to what it WANTS to run and see the power and mileage increase.

I hear ya' and i wouldn't love anything more than for it to run 500+, but doing so will probably void its guarantee and since we don't know her too good, well we'd like to keep that guarantee in case of any surprises...

you are lugging the engine if it's castrated. The more you lug it, the more damage and less life you will get out of it.
Too bad most fleet managers don't comprehend that little bit of information.

Yea you're totally right and now that you've mentioned it i'm going to bring this up with the "Boss". Would be good idea to get an oil analysis on this 387 since its already headed to its 600k mile range too... By the way congrats on your oil analysis looks like you take great care of your truck.
