the storage places here wont do they all have those narrow electronic gates you can store boats and rv's but no way your getting a 53' truck in there
no way im gonna leave track at any truck stop its not a company truck i have a lot of value in truck and don't want to completely move out of it just to park besides what happens if on of those swift drivers hits me while backing in im not there i seriously doubt there going to leave a note telling me how to file a claim against there company that would cause them to lose there job. then i would really be screwed.
lol don't think i haven't thought of that lol however commercial real estate market is screwed up here has been since katrina i don't see it recovering anytime soon
new independent here

I would not worry too much about someone hitting your truck while you are home. You could be inside the truck stop and have someone hit your truck and them take off. That is why we buy insurance. Just make sure you don't park on a corner. That is where most are hit. You could park in the back of the stop and head in. That way if someone hits your truck the trailer will be what is damaged. That costs much less to repair than the truck. It is also more difficult to do any serious damage than with a tractor.

You've got an excuse for every plausible option not being good enough.. Sounds like you need to move to a house with a yard big enough to park at home or you'll never buy a trailer... For 3 years I parked behind a grocery store 1.5 miles from home and walked when I went home. Never had an issue with anyone messing with it. You've obviously got insurance, make sure you get insurance for your personal contents, and don't worry so #### much... A kid I know, who is always in trouble for drugs and stealing, put it this way... "I'll never mess with a big rig, you never know for sure if the driver is in the bunk or not"...
