Why no EBS thread?

I don't think you can turn it off in the new ICS for android.

 

Go to the app.

Find settings or notifications..

Mine appeared after ICS.

Just went back to the app.

Use the asterisk looking object upper right hand. It takes you to settings.

If they are useing this for emergency notifications I would imagine it would go off the cell tower your pinging off of. That means it would work even if your GPS is turned off. Just seems like it would be easier to go the tower route than trying to check the GPS location of every cell phone out there to determine if there in the area your trying to notify.
