1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

If you read the article, this guy doesn't work for any "Company", he is self employed. He has his own truck. He has developed a relationship with a company that makes trailers. He charges a good rate for hauling those trailers. In short, he understands trucking.

If you are a business person in this business there is no reason why you cannot make a good living. I work for a company for now. I make a good living with that company. I live better then the other drivers who work for the company because I manage my money better. Oh, and the fact that I was born wealthy helps.

I read the article. He said he applied for the job, which suggests there is a company for him to apply with. He also states that he is flown to locations and put up in hotels. If he has his own truck, do they fly that there as well?

None of it makes sense . First he says he delivers semi-trailers and has his own truck . Then he says the company flies him to plants and puts him up in a hotel .
He makes that money driving 600-700 miles a day yet gets all the vacation time he wants . Sounds like a bunch of BS .
