I haven't been there regularly in over a year, but...You can go in there around 2100 if you want, and usually you'll get a door and a lumper total right off, then you can take a nap and they'll call you in 3-4 hours. Then you can parallel it on the opposite side of the street and sleep til you get 10 in. Although I only parked on the street once or twice. I used to off duty drive home from there but they put the brakes on that.

 

Looks like I'm finally done with the load from hell, squeaked into that last stop before they closed, after the reefer unit developed a glitch, but started running again, with no codes...strange.

 

so after a few cold snaps i decided to check out my espar heater....It would work all summer long when I would bump it with my foot while sleeping....but now that its autumn and am going to need it (25 degrees last night at home)...the #### thing won't heat....the blower works...but it just won't blow heat or blow period....now if I hit the fan button the blower works....but there is still no heat then either....hmmmmm

 

Are you pushing the little squiggly line button first?

 

Yes I have pushed the squiggly line button...and aint getting no love...checked the fuses too.....the only thing I haven't done so far is climb under the truck...but I ain't that desperate....yet.....but its one of those things...I just have to figure out what is wrong so I can fix it...LOL..just a little OCD...


in other news...I am up in Manitowoc WI...have a pick up in the AM then off to Hyvee for offload the same night....its going to be fun...have plenty of time on the load...its just an hours killer....

 

Mic, at least we have the option to idle for heat unlike Roehl...LOL!

 

Picking up here in cincinnati picking up a kroger load for goddard, ks, anything i need to know for these runs? Been asking what kind of stuff is gonna be loaded and weight, the rent a cop here isnt too forcoming on information, especially with how long it'll take here, my last kroger delivery in salem,va didnt go so great (9 hours i was there for those ####### to unload!)

 

Loaded at Hatfield Quality Meats in Hatfield and ran out of my 14. So taking my break here and then up in the morning. Load is due Thursday at 1300 and then I'm going home.

This has to be the cleanest, best kept up meat packing plant I've ever seen.

 

Well, they actually started loading me, called the broker to ask them if they have set a delivery appointment for goddard, she said saturday. #### near fell out of my seat laughing after i hung up, of course i'll be going to great bend with this, so i wont have to kill myself getting there. (Dont ask why i was laughing...just keep in mind i have a ###### up sense of humor. )

 

Yay my bunk heater started to work again....

As for goddard ks.. you can park st the truck stop there and drive to the locstion without stsrting your day...and of course there are lumpers
