O/O needs help choosing a new company

I just looked them up. Sounds like a good place. You said yourself they are good. Why look a gifted horse in the mouth.

 

I did not know Wal-Mart took on owner ops.

 

Walmart uses owner operators out of some of their distribution centers. I met a couple of owner operators who haul out of their Decherd, TN facility.

 

I use to deliver to alot of their DC's, and the only owner operators I have ever seen hauling anything out were leased to Greatwide, JB, Swift, Schiender, Werner, etc. So they have independents pulling for them, or leased operators running under Wal-Marts authority?

 

The drivers with whom I spoke said that they were leased directly to Walmart. That was several years ago when I spoke with them. I have no idea if they are still doing it or not. The only ones that I spoke with worked out of the Decherd, TN DC. I understood them to say that they leased directly to Walmart.

 

I've never seen an o/o with Walmart on their door.

 

I can't find anything online about Wal-Mart hiring owner ops. There is no distribution center in Decherd, there is one in Shelbyville 31 miles away. I have delivered to that one more times than I can count, and that is all owner ops leased to Greatwide that run out of there.

As a side note I have delivered to Shelbyville DC from early 2000 up until late 2010.
