3 years seems to be the magic number. At worst maybe you'll have to wait for that to roll around. Sounds like only 7 more months in your case. I suspect the recent slowing down of the economy again (and thus freight) has the companies being more selective.

yea that could be the reason, the only thing that im worried about really is im gonna be real rusty if i have to wait that long
ya know, thats almost a whole year of not driving being out of school, and that was only 3 weeks of driving which was about a hour a day
on the road, im lucky i passed my road test with that much of driving under my belt jus dont want my driving skills to fade away,
i know its only been a few weeks but already i feel that urge that i need to get behind the wheel soon lol im goin threw semi withdrawls
    over here i miss driving

No it's like under 250 miles to terminal. I used to do it out of Gary, 130 miles away. Makes more sense to live closer though.

The other thing is that after 7 months out of CDL school you may have issues again because of the length of time since your school.

Not sure how many schools offer this, but my school allows its graduates to come back anytime for a refresher ... no additional charge... for just this type of situation. Worth checking into.
My school also guarantees everyone will get their CDL as there's no limit on how long you can attend. However long it takes. The minimum is usually 4 weeks at full-time and test out with DMV the Wednesday of the next week.

    Roehl, McElroy, TMC, Maverick,
(depending if you are in any of their hiring areas) ...

and Western Express (if all else fails).

Id steer clear of western express. Maverick pays very good but your tarp pay is tied into your mileage pay. I like TMC equipment although not a fan that they don't hire out of Florida lol.

I rode by the WE terminal in Emporia last week (only 30 miles from home). Interesting "bone yard" in the corner ... various truck and trailer carcass's ... remnants of the crash scenes!
