well looks like i wont be workn for tmc in 2 years cause im moving to florida after 1 year over the road
and bye the way the recruiter came in to my school for them and he said that rookie drivers start
out at 45 cent a mile is that true

 

thanks for the promp answer. My problem is I live in Maine and it seems hard to find company that hires from eastcoast. I like TMC and Maverick. I am trying more options more than one so i can choose.

 

for the elctrical outlets in a sleeper cab, do they use the 110v outlets or is it the cigerette lighter type requiring an adapter?

 

This has been really helpful Jeepnut. I am leaving for the 8th orientation in Gary or waiting for the 15th in Phoenix. Most likely Gary as I have bills to pay and children to feed. Please keep us posted. How has the pay and miles been so far? Is it close to what we have been told? Also do you know if they do cpaps or anything for apnea. Just asking since your the most recent person out of the terminals.

 

After being out that long why would you want to have fish bait for dinner? Glad its working out for you there. I drove for Roehl out of Northern NH when they bought out my small company and it didn't work out for me. No way to get me home but they ended up closing the terminal anyways. Keep the posts coming and driver safely.

 

btw: what terminal are you going to be based out of and how are they going to get you home up there? Can you take your truck home on the days off?
