Next time you are at home, call operations a couple days before you come back on the road and ask to be preplanned for the day you are coming out. They will preplan you and once you commit to the load your days off stop counting, so those two days count as worked days instead of hometime days. It's easier and more comfortable, and i love conway for it.

8 out of the 10 times I have come back from home time I was preplanned.. even had FM call me to tell me where I was going the day before...

As for being chained to the truck.... never had that issue come up.. As long as you accept the load within an hr, you are good to go..

Sorry, I'm late getting back to this; don't always have wifi access on the road as I am cheap. I just think if you come back to work, come back to work. If you want to spend more time at home, do that. You can always check in by phone or on the web via smartphone. Call me old fashioned, I just think you should be ready to work when you come back, since after all, it is your job.

I dont work for Conway, work for a different company. I always call my dm day before i come out or sometimes he might have me preplanned before i go home, so i know when to come back.

When I am out on the road and I am at the truck stop or a terminal and I know I am going to be away from my truck i send a message to my dm telling him hey if u need anything please call my cellphone i wont be in my truck and never have a problem with this

I park at WM. Drive car across bridge to my home in TN. I usually call WM before I leave home the day i'm returning and board. Get there check in to a write up lol. Not getting into that though. Usually sit and wait on a load for hours never really get anything instant. Most of it is crappy runs anyways :(
