Computerized four wheelers that love & respect truckers, yep, that would be cool!!! :biggrin_25523: But come on now, how they gonna be able to take keys from truckers :biggrin_25516: , so a computer can take over "solitary confinement w/a view"? :biggrin_25512:

I would get paranoid about some hacker who can send your fully computerized vehicle as fast as they want somewhere you do not want.I think it will come down to a lot of propaganda and commercial to gain a customer's trust, maybe a couple of deaths to work out all the glitches. Also the idea of reducing traffic congestion is based on minimal following distance. What ,even close than bumper to bumper? Scary to think and be a part of this, esp in a truck.

Wait for winter in the NW. Want to see the computer chaining up and the unchaining several time a day. Then hit the black ice in the middle of the night. I for one would not even like to be on the road with a self driving truck. Also what is going to happen when a 4 wheeler that isn't self driven merges on and the self driving truck doesn't "Slow down or move over for them"as they all think we should now.

Why do you think it wouldn't slow down or move over?

Poor Swift misinterpreted the award, it was "Everybody wins a Trophy Day" that day.

I always enjoy reading some of those slogans.
    "Award winning drivers?"
    What kind of awards?
"We hire safe and courteous drivers?"
No szhnit? They are courteous, and safe?
"Our most important asset sits 63.39769 feet ahead?" :biggrin_255:

I wanna see some realistic trailers!!

"We hire some of the craziest sumbiches your ever gonna
    have the displeasure to meet!!

"In a ditch? You should have seen me coming."

    "Im soo #### sleepy,and pizsd off "
I could do some honest trailers! Somebody hire me!!
