Why Cant we agree on one thing? Why cant we united as one? Why all of this talk, when we can do something about it? We need to stand up to these trucking companies, shippers/receiving and tell them we have had enough. We deserve better then this.. Let fight together... How about we go on strick on Driver Apperication Week in September 2013 for the whole week. We need to fight for our pay, waiting time at shippers/receivers, changes rules, and respect.

Oh I did something about it. I dont work for carrirers who treat me like that.
Switched jobs, now with a very good outfit and above average wages. All no touch and very little waiting but it does happen now and then. Wow I love me some tanker yanking lol.

i went on "strick" once, twice actually. But once intentionally, the second time my truck went on "strick"
As for being treated bad, i started finding better jobs, i don't do east coast and i started refusing loads that i had told my employer that i would not haul. As for getting a sizeable group to agree ? good luck with that....
And i ought to say i'm sorry for making fun of your spelling, but i don't want to lie

most drivers think for themselves and not others. unless you belong to a teamster union its not going to happen.

After I switched from reefer/dry van, to tanker/hazmat, didn't have those problems anymore. It's your choice.

Well 'Driver Appreciation Week' has come and gone with no strike to change the affairs of Trucking. It would of course take a Savior and/or Messiah to do this IMO, ( Not trying) to be blasphemus here..

Feds have intervened...and made it worse. No central organization in Trucking = everyone driving their own truck..I will worry about me and you? Well your on your own.. Even here on this forum with the simplest of things;how many can agree before everyone splinters into different cliques?

Still as stated above it is still possible to find one's niche in Trucking if one has the perseverance and skill to find it. But a "strike" happening which will make a meaningful difference in the Trucking Industry? Get Real...

As far as a "strike" is concerned,,, the American Government/American People "won't" acknowledge/remember a " Peaceful strike" as anything more than a temporary inconvenience in there dreary lives. They may/will acknowledge/remember a strike with violence/lose of lives involved for a short time until the media finds something more thrilling to catch their attention.

A violence/ lose of lives strike could only gain a "chance" of winning IF and only IF it were strong/violent enough to push back against an oppressive Government (such as ours) that would be willing to back down and that would care enough about the lose of lives.
Our Oppressive Government would not allow a violent/lose of life strike to win as it would mean that it would lose many dollars that line their already greedy pockets and would "force" brother against brother to secure for all times that which they crave. How dare the people of these United States Of America even think of taking away their partying moneys/vacations (at the American people's expense) , why it would be unheard of from their point of view.

    This is WHY

And yes I am a veteran of 22 years
