With nursing, do you not have to continue taking a course every year or two just to keep your license? I know doctors that continually have to go to school just to keep their job so they have up-to-date information, and my aunt does the same thing as a teacher. Will your nursing degree be good if/when you decide don't like trucking?

yeah it will still be good, its when you get the job is when you have to continue your training or take refresher courses what ever the company prefers or requires.

Finish that degree first. Then you can fall back on that while you pick and choose. And then you see, you can tell dispatch things like, oh, "I don't nned this **** from you! I am only here because I WANT to be. I can always go back to nursing. It pays better." Remember that degree CAN be used as leverage!
