I work for Schneider for the last 1.4 years, be careful, overall I think their good for a NEW driver but get a year or two and move on. freight is slow atm, and pay raises NEVER happen. At least I have not seen any pay increases that were promised me even after mentioning it to my manager..of course I've had 3 manager's in a year so that is a problem right their, I am right now in discusions with 3 other trucking companies ALL will increase my pay a minimun of .05-.09 cpm, I am looking at one lease/purchase option but freight is slow so I may just stay with Schneider until the spring or we get a new president (lol).....seriously Schneider is not too bad, they won't push you to run unsafe, miles will be low but not the lowest...get a good dispatcher and that can make a WHOLE lot of difference. I JUST found out I am getting back my OLD dispatcher(someone who actually drove before) and I am actually looking forward to working with him again.
Good luck!

Just curious.. I am thinking about the big orange myself... I hear good things... how many miles you average a week? Thanks in advance....

I am speaking to the recruiter of scheinder. I was wondering if you guys are happy with schneider.

So if I understand it... you pay out of pocket depending on the school's requirements--- and Schneider will reimburse you for the schooling?...
or (yes Im calling them Monday to find out for sure) OR they pay your way through the school and you can pay them back for it.?... Think I know- but heres hoping they swing that- -
i myself tried to apply with Schneider as a school graduate, but the gap between the graduation and applying was more than 90 days so they require a 40 hr refresher course. so if you dont want more expenses dont wait too long!

Schneider reimburses you for your schooling, they pay $150 a month until it is all reimbursed.
So, you pay for your school up-front, get hired on by Schneider and take their 3 week orientation class (where you get paid $80 a day) and then when you start earning your CPM you can submit paperwork to have them reimburse you for your schooling cost.
Any other questions feel free to ask, also check out my threads in this forum about orientation.blackonysty Thanks this. -
Thanks-- Thats kind of how I thought it worked-- the confirmation is just what I was looking for
