Introducing myself here on the Welcome Wagon-
Doing my best to make the wisest decision for my situation. I've put off getting my CDL and going over the road for several years now for various excuses.
Recently however I have split with my commonlaw spouse, quit my job, and am free-birding things. And the more I think- the more sense it makes to finally get my hind end in the drivers seat.
Looking for an outfit that either trains or has a program to pay for driver training for a newb like myself...
The usual suspects (cdl mills) on paper all seem to work-- (talking with all the recruiters this week)
Swift- CREngland- Central Refer--
I had friends who were company drivers for Schneider- and this company interests me the most- unfortunately am out of touch with them so I have no inside info to draw on there-and dont even know if they have anything like the programs Im looking for (no or little money to start)
If anyone sees this- Im no starstruck big rig wannabe dreamer-
just a guy who wants to do a job- do it well- get paid- and get out in the world a good long spell. --- determined to get rolling--
