Engine brake in operable!

    Hello all,

    What does it mean by "engine brake inoperable" on a Mack dump truck. Is it a big issue? How can it be fixed? Thanks

    what a year this truck? with volvo engine? if yes, check for mid 128 fault codes! usually bad EPG ore Jakes solenoid ore its power supply

    Its a 1988 Mack Dump truck (RD690S)[h=1][/h]

    ouh)))) E6 engine? old V-mack with injection pump)

    usually problem is in wiring, ECM is located in cab, wires run from cab to sensors and actuators. Weak points are cab 2 chassis connectors and wires under hood. Check also connectors on JB solenoids and exaust flap solenoid.

    Plz pull fault codes!
