Any UL-listed device that claims a "pure sine wave output" will have a no bull pure sine wave output. That's why Underwriter's Laboratory exists. BTW, it's cheaper just to buy a different brand printer than go to the expense of buying an expensive inverter to run a $50 printer.

I will have to buy a new printer anyway. Now I have two: one is with ink and I use it ONLY for scanning and one is a laser which I use for printing everyday my logbook page. I will buy a new laser printer that can scan and print. Is only about the space and I prefer to buy a strong inverter that will last for years rather than do what I usually do and keep buying till I get a good one. I spent at least 1500$ on inverters in less than 3 years.

FYI, laser printers are pure hell to try to run on an inverter. They have a huge current spike on startup.

That's why you buy about 2x as much inverter than what your heaviest load will require. I've had good luck with Canon and Lexmark printers, and now avoid HP.

I have a 700W microwave, and a 2000W inverter. Microwaves are probably the heaviest load you can stick on your inverter- they have a very high peak load. I usually run the engine to help out my batteries when running the microwave.

Do you own a home or otherwise have someplace other than the truck to store things that you own? Do you, when you go on the road shut off the main breaker so as not to let you home idle? Isn't that wasted fuel? When I'm on the road, I live in my truck, so therefore it is my home. Whether I'm home or on the road, I leave the gas and the electric on so as to run certain appliances 24/7 and so as not to have my pipes frozen and bursted in winter time.

I don't get this line of reasoning at all. RV's do they not remain in some state of running 24/7? and yet I'm not hearing people yell and scream about wasted fuel. Let's compare vehicles that waste fuel. RV's, what do they do? Run people up and down the road so they can look at the scenery from a mobile 'home.' Trucks, what do they do? They pull cargo from one point to another so you and I can wipe are arse on something other than corncobs, bring us food, fuel and packages from Amazon. What about race cars? That is just a bunch of wasted fuel and yet without trucks bringing in parts, beer, pop and (maybe it's)meat, the racing industry wouldn't be turning wasted fuel into billions of dollars of profit.

I trade diesel for beer. Qwit drinking beer it is a waste of diesel. Wipe your ### like the french do, with a wash clothe, not only will you save a tree but look how much diesel you will quit wasting.

And when they finally make a law against allowing trucks to maintain heat and power, as do all people in homes. You are a coward and a spineless kitten if you do not shut your truck down in the middle of the road and let it set until they rescind the law. Yes, some of us will die and let the others put a buck in the pot and build a bronze statue to those heroes and tip a glass on the day the law is rescinded.

Thermo king APU with 1800 ingersoll rand inverter! Question is, inverter gets the power when turned on, but not getting the power OUT thru the plug sockets, is this the breaker issue, and where that breaker might be, is it internal, or somewhere on the cables?
I got only 1.7 cu fridge and a normal sized microwave, sometimes I plug in printer and laptop to charge, but I do disconnect everything when using microwave! Thanks for your help!!

Tuzla if you have a Volvo, and they have hooked the inverter to the truck's in house shore power type system with the 110 outlets, there is a breaker on the back side of the outlet junction box. It is under the bunk/seat on the driver's side. You just about have to stand on your head looking down from above to see it.
