How long after you apply does it take to hear back usually??

 

For me, it was the very next day. Had to do the d&a test, then few days later arranged when I would start green hand school.

With a Class 1, you probably will be called right away. You must also have 6 points or less on your abstract or you won't be hired. And if hired you still have to watch your points, one guy was fired for too many points.

 

Applied to Trican and Sanjel yesterday. 17 yrs experience and 0 demerits. Haven't heard a thing yet.

I'd say yes. We have more trucks than drivers. In the last 2 weeks, 4 guys are no longer here.

 

How come there is such a big attrition rate?

 

Is Red Deer where you want to be based out of? There are other bases you can apply to that are hiring.
