Help with night driving

    sunflower seeds.....hubby tried night driving..(i have been the night driver the whole time we have ran team.) and he cant do it.....he sucks at it...he always has to stop and take a nap...lol...

    I had that problem bad when starting out , for me it was all about diet . I am a large guy and used to eating good and that messed me up the worst I made big lunches and ate the whole time I was driving causing me to be very tired about 3 hours in , a set of circumstances had me start eating an hour before my shift ( dating a woman who cooked dinner ) then I wasnt hungry at all til almost the end. I noticed it was easy to stay up and have never went back . My advice is eat before you drive and properly then dont mess it up during your shift , wait til daylight to eat again . Hunger also helps me stay up when I get that way.

    My wife couldn't stay awake at night so we switched around to where she drives days and me nights. Keeping on a regular schedule is hard for us, we pull flatbed and I do the tarping and chaining, finding the loads ect ect but we make it work.

    Try them little 6oz Starbucks Doubleshots. They'll wire you up.

    Nibbling on stuff wakes you up but makes you fat! :) Try nibbling on ice cubes works.

    Many drivers will talk to each other on the cellphone. Hands free now!

    iron maiden. rush, accept, or whatever.

    i kjust plug the phone into radio and crank her up.

    having the window down for fresh air also helps.

    and the last peace would be mpower tablets. should it come to that.

    those energy drinks don't work for me either. and they result in side effects where the closest thing to use is millions of miles away.

    I run 2am to 4 pm all the time; works great! Plus you avoid the annoying afternoon rush hour crap.

    Dang. All the things i was going to say was allready taken. We do 3 to 3 . Audiobooks are great so is comedy. Dont have sat radio but a smart phone can get you all the same stuff.
