We go through Atlanta ALOT, twice yesterday. We have a drop yard but I would never stay there, Scary side of town. We also have Lots and Lots of shippers and receivers there
-
Company guys used to be restricted to ONLY staying at the drop yard- only place with real security.

I want to open your eyes before you go to work for a company that will not pay you what you our worth. DO NOT DO THERE LEASE PROGRAM... if you want to keep your home, car, life. DON'T DO THE LEASE>>>>>>>>>
My husband drove for them for about 6 months and we lost everything. THe lease program is 844.00 per week just for the truck and then on top of everything else the you have to pay it is going to cost you 2500.00 per week. They do not have the frieght out there to make sure you can make a living.. Before he went to PRIME INC. i did my search. I talked to alot of other truck drivers out there and the first thing out of there mouth so our you broke yet, our or you making any money.... THat is from former drivers.. I think that PRIME is a company that if you dont want to make money and have MONEY this is the company for you... I think the best company out there that I have search and talk to other drivers is MAY Trucking...... Good Luck with your new Driving JOB. Hope you have alot of money to live on.... -
Tanya,
I'm not jumping on the bandwagon here but every post you have ever posted on the forum except for two has been nothing but complianing. Your husband worked for prime for 3 months before you got on here and said you lost everything Now you say you worked for them for 6 months. You said you did research before he took a lease with Prime. Well did you read the post called leasing with prime or something like that? It explained everything in there. You all wanted to go lease and own your own truck. Why didn't you just buy a truck cause you husband has been driving for awhile and lease it to a company?? I'm sure the payments will be ALOT lower that way.
If you all were team cause you say you have your CDL you all should of gone company and save your money to buy your own truck. If you both live in the truck and average 5,000 miles a week as team you should be able to do it. Even at .44 cent per mile split you would gross $2,200 a week. That is gross over 8k a month. Save money don't eat out all the time. Buy food and eat out of the truck. Do a trip plan better so you have time and don't have to rush and you can get the fuel bonus.
heck in a year you can have a nice chunk of change to put a very nice down payment on the truck you want. But you wanted to rush things and lease. You don't even get to keep the truck at the end of the lease.
Please don't say you lost everything because of a company. May starts at .32cpm for 1 year experience. Prime starts at .41cpm out of school.unclebuck Thanks this. -
After 36 hrs on greyhound buses, countless bus changes and two unexpected lay-overs i'm almost at prime and let me say what a time i've had since sunday evening.
