JB calls me almost every 3 to 4 months. I don't think I'd really want to work with them though.

I also had some issues with there safety department wen I first applied with them. Furthermore they seem like big DAC yuppies with nothing to do pick and pry on you and your past.

    Thanks, but no thanks.

first of all let me get some of you driver straighten out on some things. My husband told jbhunt from the start he didn't know how to travel that good. The truck driving job he had for 5 years was dealing in construction he drove belly dumps, end dumps live bottom. His job was consite of 100 mile radius. Now I don't have a problem if another driver is going to help him I had already routed him to his stop from point A to point B. This was his first time out you going to tell me you knew where he was going you have been there before and you could't give him some good advice on where he was to fuel up at you going to wait until he is in the middle of driving and then you going to tell him he need to turn off highway 287 to get fuel. That is just like me knowing there's is a fire and I'm going tto wait until you get right there before I tell you there's a fire? come on let get real with this. Second of all he had microsoft street and trip on his laptop so he was doing just fine. If you don't mean nobody no good then just leave them alone. To many truck drivers out think they know everything guess what you don't everyday is a learing process. So this is all I have to say about JBHUNT I would love to go with him but I can't deal with the games people play this is a person job
They tell you to route yourself they don't give directions and don't total depend on a GPS cause they not right all the times.
Best of luck to all the truck drivers out there and be safe.:biggrin_25512:

Gonna throw in my 2 cents on this. First, Airealis dead on about dispatchers are not babysitters. Act like an adult, and do your job. I drove for JB Hunt from january of 2011 till feburary of 2012. After being there 5 months they offered me a dedicated position to run southeast only, home every weekend. But I would take a .02 cent pay cut. I took it and enjoyed it. My goal with JB was to get on the intermodal side. Talked to other drivers and found out who was in charge in Charlotte. Called him about every 3 months but there was no openings. I left them in feburary to take a chemical tanker job, what I always wanted to do anyway. If I every decide to pull a van again, I would give JB a call. If you can get in there intermodal division, thats where the money is.

Well I going to throw back my 3 cent on this didn't nobody say that dispatch was babysitters but they do have a responsibility in communcation to the driver letting them know what they are doing. I mean is that to much of asking let somebody throw you out there and you don't have a clue of what going on and give you the wrong address to go to make your delivery see how you will like it. That why I said to much kiss $$$ this is a cut throat business you have your opion and I have my opion.
