it is rough. I often have to leave for a break even rate then go trucking. Even when you think you find a decent rate it is heavy as can be and has a five hour load time etc. just cant win sometimes. however I can run around within tx all week for decent money but its hard work to hook up all those little runs while trying to keep deadhead down.

Yep, I hear ya there. That was my thought, there was a lot going to the port and around TX, But trying to make it all work was exhausting. Glad I'm out...:biggrin_255: Next time i go back it will be on 4 wheels going to six flags..... for the 100th time:biggrin_2559:

Went to load a running driveable 24k 28' rail service truck... It turned into a 38' 35k truck with no drive shaft. 2 hours waiting on a wrecker and 2 quality hours with the 35 ton wrecker and it is loaded but talk about ugly. Headed to phoenix tomorrow.

So how many of you have had a rookie walk over to you and tell you that your load was secured all wrong and that ratchet straps were not legal and he said some other stuff to but Ihad tuned out already, he said he was on his 2nd solo trip and felt it was his duty to tell all bedders what they are doing wrong

Am I the only one ???

When you get out of school you know everything and it is your civic duty to pass all......blah blah blah......and they told us that ..... Blah blah blah....

you should have asked him if he switched the summer air out of his tires and put the winter air in, told him they would be checkin at the next scale
