Just thought I'd post a little bit about a friend who still works for Central. He's now in WVC unloading his old 386 just finished his first lease Steve up in O/O brought in a new white 386 for him going for his second shot. It can be done he dose not train runs solo for Coors has been for the last three years. I'm not saying life has been easy but he learned early on how to work things to his advantage his miles run between 2,500 and up but he likes 2,300 better. Please don't read into this that a lease is right for you I'm just saying it can work but it will take a lot of determination. By the way he is married and from CA plus he's in his early 60tys.
Nottoway and passion4polishing Thank this. -
@nottoway the recruter you talk to determines where you go. some of them send you to the nearest terminal, some send you to WVC.
@6pak4-two I'm not on farmland, so IDK who runs it. What pay isn't going down these days? 8% unemployment means there's always a line of people wanting to replace you if you dont like your terms.Nottoway Thanks this. -
I hope you brought your flame suit. Saying anything positive about leasing is fightin' words in this forum.

Has been all the way back to when JJ started the first Central thread. It takes a certain mentality to make a lease work and if you stay on the refer side it's tough. Back when I started with Coors we'd get surcharge on both loaded and deadhead miles but even after that changed we managed to make it work. I have 2 other friends still on Coors 1 just bought her truck been there 5 years the other started his second lease 3 months ago. Coors has the best 1,000 to 1,800 mile runs all day time appts for your 99 much better then a 03:30 appt. and no repowers just change the time.

I remember when WVC alone got 60 to 70 students every week WVC alone. There's always going to people standing in line and due to the lack of employment more and more people gravitate to trucking. I met a guy there WVC and somehow the recruiter led him to believe he would be able to pay off $ 285,000.00 in debt LOL YA RIGHT. I trained about 20 students for them each with a different problem some of them still drive for central find a your place and it can work.Nottoway Thanks this. -
I'm not complaining, I'm happy here. I'd've probably been happier with what rates used to be, but we don't have time machines yet, so it is what it is.

if you live in CA, then Fontana, in GA then Conely and I believe all others go to SLC. They will route you back 'home' so you can deal with your license when you're done.Nottoway Thanks this.

crsco pulls from the whole southeast. I went there from FL, and we had a lot of people from FL, GA, TN, MS, and AL. different recruiters send you different places.Nottoway Thanks this.
