This is a good indicator of what the REAL unemployment numbers are ... we can be assured the government does not report accurately. For instance, those who stop looking are no longer counted.
Also it's tough to swallow, with the increasing inflation from the insane money printing going on, that wages and rates have actually fallen. I'm afraid we're all in for tough times ahead.Jarhed1964 and Lady K Thank this. -
I would like to say hi to everyone and let you all know i am new to this form. All my truck experience i have done is in the U.S Army on the HET M1070. I know it not the same as cmv. I thinking going with Central Refrigerated and I just want to know more information about the company.

Just wanted to quote/repost this for emphasis.... -
Its been that way for a lot of people and trucking is a last resort. The Goverment gives money to each school because they have given a new driver a new career the student also pays his way. A year and a half back Central had a couple of trailers done up for the vets who were coming home from Iraq a scam because Central did not count there training in the military. The Conley school was shut down GA would not take out of state people the state would not issue a license so we were told. Centrals turn over rate is very high. It's easy to think one can be a trucker but as they began to understand the new life style so many would leave for those who leased thinking they could go home whenever ,they found themselves always negative no pay. Back in the year 2010 Central was supposed to have been an all lease company it never happened. I'm not saying Central sucks just saying be ready for the down side of trucking the sitting waiting the heat Central will charge the driver for any fuel wasted for ideling over 25 to 30% they don't supply APU's with fuel going up the % may drop. Prople can come to the forum ask a thousand questions and still not understand what trucking a all about. I wish everyone looking into the industry well but understand its a lifestyle like non other.Nottoway Thanks this.

Hit a prairie dog my second week out. He was on the curb and he ran for it. I said, "Go, you're gonna make it!" then he did some kind of a back flip predator evasion type move and stood up directly in front of my right steer. I swear his face had a look of resignation on it... I managed to straddle him anyway, but in my mirror he was bouncing and rolling right before FedEx showed up.
