coax for 2 meter mobile

    would a 25 foot run of low loss rg8x work ok with my vhf radio in my big truck?

    RG8X would work fine. You might want to see if you can shorten that up a bit, though.

    At home, I run RG6 satellite cable. Cheap as heck, can find it anywhere that sells TVs, and the loss factor is better than RG-213. Yes, I know it's 75 ohm, but the low loss more than makes up for it.

    Also, RG6 is available with a steel "messenger" wire attached to it, so you can easily run it overhead.

    size and flexability is a must because i have to run it in my truck, down the back of the sleeper, under the truck, then the fire wall. its a company truck and what i can do is limited
