Word is now that Spartanburg will be closed on October 26th.48Packard Thanks this.

I pull into a truck stop the other night and scrape a little paint off the bat wing of the BFI truck beside me with the hinge of the Wally World trailer I was pulling. I had the wheels slid all the way up and forgot how much overhang I had. exchange info with the guy, call accident dept. What sort of discipline would they give me for this? When I was training, my 2nd trainer's brother ripped the hood off his Crete truck and they made him go back out with a trainer for 3 weeks.

I almost never back into a tite spot without getting out to look, now your gonna have to jump through a bunch of hoops.

I think you will be charged a couple safety points and most likely have to go to one of their defensive driving safety meetings. If it's your first incident, shouldn't be that big of deal. Good luck!!

Well, if that's true, at least they're giving the ladies and gents there some time. I was pretty concerned it could turn out to be "Hello, GoodBye" on a Friday afternoon.
Gotta hand it to my new Asset Manager....she's keepin' me rollin'! I'll actually run out of my 70 this weekend. Only turning in 1625 this week, but that's coming out of the house on Monday and ending Thursday. My delivery this afternoon won't get transflowed on time, as I'm picking up right here, but it won't be ready until later. So, I'll start this next week with 1550 miles by noon Sunday. -
Funny thing is Crete sent me a Qualcomm message about me having trailer 216xxx and dropping it with a big dent in it. I had to remind them that is a dry van and I pull reefers.

Had one of those a while back. Some sort of hinge problem. I picked it up sealed and loaded. Dropped same. Did not see any problem. Sounds like yard dog problem.:-0

It seems like over 50% of our trailers have some type of damage. I used to call it into accidents, but they told me their policy had changed and now to only report 'out-of-service' type stuff. There is one type of very common damage I'm curious about. Quite a few trailers have a big dent at the top left front. I figure it must be something caused by the yard jockeys, but I don't know how.
-
Could be by backing them tail-to-nose. Used to see that a lot at Schneider.
I've put 3001 miles on this truck since Monday morning. I can run 11 tomorrow, then I'll have to take a 34 Monday. First time in a while, so I'm pleased. So far, so good (in fact, very good) with my new asset manager.
