connex 3300

    just picked up a clean old school single final connex 3300 off craigslist for 75 bucks. the bigger bonus was it came with the astatic 636 mic. i saw that ad and had to jump all over that deal. works like a charm. figured id brag somewhere to people who like CB radios lmao lord knows the better half hates the thing.

    Awesome. Does yours have the heat sink on the rear of it?

    Not to toot my horn but I too bought a 3300 off CL for $75. Mine was a single final no heat sink. I paid an extra $15 for an Astatic mic which turned out to be the much wanted 575-M6 mic that goes for $70 easy.

    I still have the mic, but I was able to flip the radio for a $50 profit.

    no heat sink. it is a single final radio. but, those can be modified for dual finals by a competent technician. its an oldie but a goodie. i just wish the 3300 had sideband. oh well. cant win them all lol

    And yes it can be modded for dual finals, except where I read, it's easier to buy a dual final radio. Now what this radio would be good for, is the RFX-75, if you wanted to go that route.

    mine is identical but the connex is printed smaller and it only says 3300 on the bottom. the guy i got it from removed the ad before i saved the picture. still a clean old thing. its in the pickup already. i just have to hard wire it to the battery but i gotta take off for florida tomorrow and didnt want to waste a day under the hood of the pickup :)
