I'm still in truckload; I've been on the transfer out list for over two months for a dedicated position. That's great that your getting your miles, but like many others in texas, I'm not. Not sure why, but it seems that drivers back east are getting better miles.

It makes all the difference in the world. I saw the difference between night and day once when I went from from an apathetic FM to a FM who was on the ball.

But we often don't have much of a choice in the matter, with FMs being assigned to certain groups of drivers. The one I have now is so-so, but right now miles aren't as good as they have been overall.

Believe it or not, the Presidential election has a huge impact on businesses and the stock market. Four years ago things went in the toilet. We had a hiring freeze and overall business dropped dramatically. Hopefully things will swing back the other way soon.

Maybe on some of them. I ran 2300 every week for 26 months on Mercedes account. Would still be doing it but we got underbid by TransportAmerica.

That is good news. Their contract expires Dec 31. It would be nice to get some of that back.

The last 2 wks in truckload have been low miles all over from what I've heard. Truckload seems to be the bottom of the food chain at Averitt, but combo and shuttle drivers are making good money so hang in there and keep trying for a transfer.

I got 2205 leaving on Sat and getting home Friday. Started out good with almost 1000 miles by Sunday but Tuesday Morning load killed the week.
Loaded Mon night in Faarmers Branch with Thursday delivery 761 miles. If we were busy, would have dropped that load in Jackson Tuesday and kept moving.
