Company Training vs. Vocational School

Thanks for your post, I have been researching different training and am going to see what we have in our area in the community colleges.

 

I did a 10 week community college school, 320 hours total. It was 6 hours a day, and I ended up with 1000 miles on the road, many hours of backing, and a lot of hours testing, watching videos, prepping; and of course, old fart instructors talking about the good old days working at Yellow Freight before there were sleepers in trucks. I got lifetime access to their career center-- which includes trucking jobs, and all kinds of other access to companies that do not take students, and yet will hire Their Students. It was a good deal for $1000.
