the scorecard is showing current for trucks with old files. Right now bigbore files should be around MMC , MMD, MAC, MAD on the last 3 letters. Only way to check is to hook up servicemaxx and check the cal. Theres also new files out for the MD product to

This is where Cummins is better by leaps and bounds with their calibration revisions and clearer description as to what each update does.

ill take a look tommorw. bad day shifting it today maybe i was in to much of a rush. maxxforce doesnt like to be rushed

well i drove that truck for 5 days and it went to a dealer because the egr was cooked. also had a horrible vibration at roadspeed too. steering wheel didnt shake. i noticed some shims in the leaf springs on one side. who knows... still cant shift the thing very good. luckly mine doesent have the progressive shifting with the lil light that tells u to shift and cuts off power., i drove one that did and omg. talk about a slow powerless motor now even slower. going up and down hills with this truck is a night mare. no pwer going up, no jake brake going down. cherry on top it dont shift. great truck.
ill take a 2006 columbia thats had 100 drivers in it over this brand new prostar

The dealer says there is nothing they can do to make it better. This is a serious design mistake that could cost a driver their life. At least there should be a recall. I often have it maxing out going down a grade under load hitting 2500 rpm with the red stop engine light on. You can down shift all you want but if your on a.grade under a heavy load you can burn your brakes trying to slow this truck down. I made sure my wife knows about the problem so she can get rich if I loose my life going over the side of a mountain. What else can a person do? Is there a agency we can talk to to get International to fix the Jake? I know after this truck I'll never drive another Maxiforce powered truck unless this problem is corrected. -
It's not a jake style brake. It's a butterfly valve in the exhaust pipe. Kinda like u put on a diesel pick up. It's better than nothing and I make due with it at 121,000 lbs all the time

I call it the Jake as a habit. It's called a engine brake on the wheel button. Regardless many drivers have a complaint with it. If yours works good consider yourself one of the lucky ones. I drive through the mountains every day so it's more of a issue with me. Take care
