I always order my permits with a little extra "room"
For example: I measure a load at 11' 4" but I ordered my permit for 11' 11" (kept it under 12' for some routing)
If my load is under 10' wide, I still order my permit for 10' just in-case. It never hurts to be over, but a world of pain for being UNDER !!!DrtyDiesel, Logan76, cpape and 1 other person Thank this. -

All good, never hurts to have a reference!DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
very true. The lady at the fuel desk is going to see if the printer will accept my thumb drive and let me print off the provision sheets. I went ahead and got ALL of the provision sheets to make sure i have them. Weekend dispatch told me "yeah, I don't know where your paperwork is, so just call your dispatcher tomorrow"
Gotta love them....aiwiron Thanks this. -
Translated for you,
Dispatch just admitted to being lazy and stupid in the same conversation.Bloodshot and DrtyDiesel Thank this. -
lol, i know.
I can't stand it sometimesaiwiron Thanks this. -
Not that it will do you much good right now, but since you were legal height, you (or Roehl) could have gotten an IL permit at any time. Since you are legal height and under 12W it would be a "no route" permit. You don't have to specify routes and it does not require office review. The system will generate it and you can pay for it 24/7 with a credit card. There really is no reason they should have left you stuck waiting for that permit.SHC and DrtyDiesel Thank this.

Well, the permit is for 13'8", so correct me if I'm wrong but even though I am physically under height, wouldn't I still be restricted to whats on the permit?
Also, for the big difference is that Roehl ships two different type of equipment from that place, One being a log skidder which is what I have. The other is a different type, not sure what, i just know it is a few inches wider and taller than the one I got. I guess Roehl just uses a blanket of height and width to cover both types of equipment. -
Alright, I'm set!! Put Indiana's and Illinois' provision sheets on my USB drive and the guy at the fuel desk hooked it to the computer in the back and printed it off for me. Asked the guy how much, guy said "nothing, I help y'all out when I can". I of course thanked him. So I got my 4 pages of provision sheets for free. That book I bought also tells me if the provisions are separate or on the permit. Kentucky, Tennessee, and north Carolina's are on the permit. So I'm good to go.
Ethanaiwiron Thanks this.
