Of the trucking companies that offer cdl training, based on my research it seems central is one of the better choices. My priorities are lots of miles and a decent treatment of the employees. Am I making a good decision by picking central reef? I know as a rookie I have to bite the bullet for a year when I go with a company sponsored cdl company.

    Your advice?

Swift or ffe is my other choices based on my research.

best i can tell you is call and ask the right questions, i did central, wasnt too bad, swift is ran almost identically to central, based on what i was told about ffe, i wouldnt, but DONT take my opinion of ffe as law, call and ask questions and compare, now if you have any specific questions about central i would be more than willing to answer

Miles normally start low 1200-2000, but they put more and more on you if they think you can take it. I've ran close to 3600 in a week and I've ran 800 because of just starting out and home time. Some dedicated fleets guarantee 2300 or more and some regional work pays very well for running less miles. Work hard and there are going to be loads for you. Some weeks rock. Some weeks not so much. It's my 4th month out and I'm pretty happy with my choice. Good luck!

What I've heard about Central isn't too good. Of course it depends on what dispatcher you get and what terminal you're running out of. Their equipment is nice though from what I've seen on the road.

that same thing can be said about every trucking company out there, and yes i do mean the entire quote, just take out central and insert any company you wish, and its still valid
