Its a big class, I think there are 23 of us. Myself, Sal, and Kane are all doing well. We have only lost 2 people so far. One was a guy who got bronchitis. Interesting group from all walks and ages. Some young folks and older folks. So far been a good group and we have managed on the snowy roads ok. Macdonald pass next week though I am hoping for no snow that day. So far everything has been great.

We was worried about you guys during Hell Week and glad you all made it OK. Did you all pass the MT drivers test OK.
Weather for next week does not look all that bad yet. Some Snow but that is good to learn in it and you can drive anyplace, from snow mountains to hot desert.
Keep us posted and tell Sal Hi from Gordon/Arkie -
That's going to be sometime this week.

Hey Guys!
Finally made it home today! Would have been here last night but the weather in west central ohio conspired to delay me for a day. It was iced up really good down there last night. Saw 4 cars in the median and a truck jack knifed on an overpass before I got to Toledo this morning!
I made it to N.C. fine after stopping at the Volvo dealer in Knoxville to replace my EGR valve. Explained the paultry fuel mileage I was getting from Texas (5.9) and the lack of power when I got to Tennessee.
From there I took some cardboard packaging from Greensboro, N.C. to our terminal in Dalton, Ga. and did a local run to La Grange, Ga. and back. Yesterday morning I hooked up to a trailer bound for the terminal in Taylor, Mi. and here I am!
Things are going pretty well so far, and I've had no other serious issues with my truck. My APU hadn't been working, but they fixed that up in Dalton as well as replacing my air lines and putting on a new set of steer tires. Now I'll spend the next couple of days finally cleaning it out and moving in.
I'll be back out there on Wed. morning. You guys all be safe!

Hey Guy's,
How is the training going. I would guess that the weather has slowed the driving down some. -
Weather don't look real bad this week as far as snow goes but next week it is not good. I wake up in the morning with my little Yorkie under the covers against the small of my back keeping both of us warm. I would of missed that if I were in school.
I sure hope the weather changes to good for their last week in class and I hope they have more than 3 trucks to share, Maybe they will get them new ones down the street just waiting to pick up.

Hey guys, this has been an awesome thread, keep up the good work.
Hey Raak, I'm planningon going to Missoula 1/2/08, I tried to find the Vancouver location today and couldnt find it. Is it a terminal or just a drop yard? Is there a secure place to park my car when Im on the road? -
The terminal in Vancouver is between the raised R/R tracks and the Columbia river off hwy 14. If you turn off I-5 at hwy 14 then get off at the first exit. Go right to pass under the R/R tracks then go left at the light. Follow that down about 1.5 miles. You will see a fuel island on the left of the road... Look to the right side and you will see all the W/S trailers. Turn down that road after the trailers and the terminal is just down on the left just over another set of R/R tracks. Not big but it does have a small lounge and break room. Mostly a warehouse and docks for transferring freight around. There is driver parking right there on the side of the building at the driver entrance door.
The yard usually has about 15 trailers in it and it is hard to miss. -
Thanks Raak, Just waiting on the financing part then Im on my way. I have driven before, but been 13 years, so I decided the best way to get my foot back in the door is to get the training again, and W/S looks like a great place to get the training and looks like a great company too. Do you drive OTR or Regional?

Raak,
How are the miles that you are getting and are you having to do a lot of unloads yourself or do you have lumpers.
