If anyone has ever picked up at this place before, my hat's off to you.

For those who haven't, allow me to give you the lowdown.

As you can tell from the pictures, this is in the middle of a residental neighborhood. Only one way in (Randall Street, a "No Trucks" road), backing through a five-way intersection, and then getting out a completely different way, which is way easier than getting in. I had the misfortune of picking up there twice in two weeks. The first time, I went the way the NaviGo told me to go. Huge mistake. How I didn't hit any parked cars or topple power poles is a mystery that will never be solved.

Second time, it was the first time in my driving career I knowingly took a "No Trucks" route to get to a shipper. But it was a little bit easier. But you still have to back through the five way intersection to get to the dock.

Could you not just come down Barney Ave (its off Pearl St) then down Washington St, then just back it into the yard?

Doesn't look too bad. I once delivered to a Sears in a crowded shopping mall just outside of Los Angeles where the loading garrage was on a narrow side street which required pulling out into a busy 3 way intersection and then jacknifing into the garrage with your steers hopping a curb.

Or how about the time I delivered a heavy load of phone books in San Francisco. Had to go down narrow windy residential roads with hills so steep I had to climb and descend them in 3rd gear. That was some sketchy ####.

delivered beer once to a place where you had to back down the street like 3 blocks, then back into there dock that was within their building with no lights. was told to use the red steam pipe above as a guide, basically told keep trailer lined up below it and will have no problems...
