Anyone ever heard of these guys or used their site?

    http://www.freightconnections.com

I got an email from them via my USDOT registration and while I normally toss those, I looked at this one.
It seems like a good idea - except the part of BIDDING for freight.

    Kinda seems like uShip....ugh

I had one just last month. Told me 30 days to pay. Ugh. Ok...

At the 15th day I asked if he got my invoice.....he responded that he did and that he would send me a check the next day,
    since I called to ask.
I didnt hold my breath but a few days later it did arrive.

19 days to pay was OK for me!

What is bad about bidding for freight? I bid on loads daily. Too high on most of it and I know what it will roll for but sometimes it's a hit and I never feel screwed over.

It always seems to drive DOWN freight rates...since some people will haul crap for crap!

No way to avoid that all freight gets bid.

They advertise all over LinkedIn, along with ComFreight and one other one that for some reason I can't think of atm. Lots of brokers posting their loads on there.

    FreightQuote.com is another one.

I tend to avoid calling on any of their loads though. Always seems they are fishing for the lowest bid and I don't like cheap freight.

All these boards, especially the ones advertising "get freight direct from shippers", are going to move the freight as cheap as possible meaning it ain't no different than ITS or CHR or whichever. Doesn't mean you won't ever find good freight or decent contacts there though. All freight, even good paying high dollar stuff that is always paying good is always price sensitive. I pass up on 200 miles or less loads every day, same day pick and drop, that move for $600 cause I want $700 or $800. $600 is still a good rate on that for dry van I just want as much as I can get and get them like that at times. The point is everything is up for bid. That's your time to set the rate, or not...

My point is, they have a history of cheap freight not meeting my expectations. So why waste the phone call on them.
