Walmart is a great place to run, gauranteed Average miles per week and lots of stops that add up fast just gotta remember you may get a pay cut.
Right now is a great time to start with the holidays coming and lots of loads I made $1200 plus my milage bonus last week and keeps u close to home if your at the dc that delivers to. Your home store I make it one weekly for a restart and could stop several times a week but I run hard and get back every night to be ready for my next load.
My DC wants me to join the fleet but the pay sucks at this one so Im staying OTR to make the full pay but they can say we don't need u and have to go back OTR but I'm fine with that ai made the same $$$$ OTR

I'm telling you all you have to do is find the DC that delivers to your store and ask if they need Help I'm OTR and live 160 miles from DC and they still said yes sure we will deadhead you over as soon as she hung up the phone and they even want me to join fleet I been here almost 2 months now.
As for pay here they pay
0 to 200m is $.42
200 to 300 is $.38
300 to 900 is $.34 think is your exp. rate not sure I'm only at $.34 but this is my 2nd year now I been with Swift just over a year with no exp before Swift
The flat rate pay only for the Fleet drivers that are not OTR and stop pay is $10 a stop and 1st is not counted and the fleet drivers here only make $.29a mile and No Rank or Mileage Bonus even if your only helping out like me I got a Bonus this week but only for the miles I drive until I came here.
With about 20 stops a week at $15 per stop sometimes more sometimes less
I make $800 to $1250 a week most weeks I average close to $1000 my lowest check has been $806 but I also took restart and the next day they were short on loads so I got a extra day with the family.
Some days they dbl you up and do 2 loads those are great days lots of $$$ or you may have to do a back haul which brings the miles up quite a bit longest run I've done here is 900miles Walmart stops then PU then return to DC.BDT Thanks this. -
I was told .37 cpm $10 per stop. The first stop it free.
Here is my problem. I live 45 mins away (34 miles) from the distribution center. If I only get 10 hrs off iv got a total of 1.5 hrs travel time to and from work. Add 8 hrs of sleep. That only leaves we with .5 hr to eat, shower, ####, shave, get ready for wrk in the morn, deal with every day bs at ur house. How can this be done in .5 hr.
when your otr it's different. When your done u turn around and ur bed is right there. U do t have 1.5 hrs to m from wrk travel time and the normal bs to put up with at home. So how the hell can they run u like u r OTR? I want to try this out but I don't see how I can safely operate a truck for 14 hrs a day if I'm not getting enough time to get a full 8 hrs of sleep? -
Go OTR and that way u keep ur truck and call and ask to help out not join help out u won't be home everyday but they should get u home for restarts and hopefully home a few times a week like if u deliver close to home on your last stop don't even call just drive home and set PTA for 11hrs this gives u a 10hr break and 1 hr to drive in to DC.You do a good job for them they will take care of them there not like the idiots in terminals at least to the 3 I have helped out. They like you to stay in contact with them and if you ask to go home they send you no questions asked. They pay varies from Dc to Dc they bid on these fleets to out.bid other company's and lowest wins there for they have a budget to work with so that's why the pay is different.
mogan2006 Thanks this. -
Thank you for the input. If I'm making over $1000 a week ill be happy. I was wondering tho.
How r they if u need a day? Do they give u a hard time?
also if I'm driving a day cab is there any way I can do 12 hr shifts with 12 hrs off? That would help out with the travel time to n from the dc and getting enough rest. ( 45 min drive from my house to dc)
