stay away from fedex you will be working the dock for years....

 

That would depend on where you hire in at. Yes some do dock for years. And some hire straight onto the road board and never have to hit the dock. And every other possible combination in between. Just depends on what the deal is at that particular barn.

Stay away from Fedex freight. Seems road guys are sitting at home. Frying of mine in raleigh nc been sitting home for 2 weeks straight. He says average is 3-6 road guys sitting on each day. Friday is normally only day gets work. Collecting unemployment and work 1 day week. He is trying to get layoff so they pay or transfer but not road jobs open.

 

I`ve applied for a Driver Apprentice program at the Madison,Al. terminal, can you give me some info about this? The SCM told me alittle bit about it, but i want to hear from someone who has went through the DDC or the Apprentice program. Thanks!

 

bringing up a old thread here. any info on monmouth junction nj terminal.? I live a few miles away and did a online app about 2 months ago when i was employed with cardinal. im working at a mom and pop shop now and it aint to bad but fedex freight called me and wants me for interview next tuesday. he said city pu and del pays 21.60 or something and goes to 24 in 3 years linehaul 60cpm.some dock work to make up hours. said loads go to hagerstown harrisburg albany and a few other spots. all doubles for line haul. the trucks ive seen sittin in the yard look like really old internationals with single axle. I dont care bout that as long as they drive right. guess ill go to the interview for ##### and giggles but waiting around 5-6 weeks before hearing anything is nuts. I wish they would pull ur background before they even call u the first time because i know mine has some demons.

 

Any road drivers out of salt lake city,ut?
